Apart from making photographs - which is allowed in most museums as long as
no flash is being used - there are security reasons not to allow cell phones
inside the museum. Apart from modern art in most cases objects in museums
are free of copyright. Besides: the quality of images made through cell
phone cameras really is not very impressive. Making photos is a non-issue.
Disturbance by people talking too loud through their cell phones is a real
issue.
