For 19th C. industrial belting, you might contact the science and industry
museum in Manchester, England, and ask for the person in charge of the
cotton processing machinery.
For those of you living in/going through England, I can't recommend the tour
of their cotton processing machinery highly enough. It was fascinating and
mind-opening. A real life experience useful for anyone studying the 19th
century, becuase of the widespread ramifications of the cotton industry.
Hope this has been helpful, best regards,
Star Meyer
