Nancy,

It really depends on what you will be hanging on the walls and if you
need structural support verses just a visual partition, also do the
walls need to go up to the ceiling?

Since I had worked in the theatre for a few years I do have an
afffection for the standard theatrical flat, lightweight and portable
but can be braced and assembled for almost any sort of configuration,
and if carefully done can appear seamless when painted and finished.
You can add cross-braces to affix everything from paintings to light
fixtures and they can be hung from the ceiling or toenailed to the
floor. Amazing what can be done with 1" x 4" wood and muslin!
