The Queens Library Gallery seeks an Education/Exhibitions Intern. The
intern would assist with the following tasks:
• Scheduling and preparing for gallery school group visits.
• Working with a small staff to assist in writing pertinent lessons
plans for craft activities.
• Exhibition related research.
• Assisting with exhibition maintenance and clerical work as
necessary.
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student studying Art
History or Art Education and has experience working with children.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is
also preferred. He/She should be responsible, punctual, and flexible. We
are seeking an intern to work 15 hours a week, 2 or 3 days.
While this is an unpaid internship, the Gallery will gladly facilitate
University credit.
The Queens Library Gallery is located in Jamaica, at the Library’s Central
Location. Our mission is to foster an awareness of and appreciation for
art, history and international cultures in the Queens community - the most
ethnically diverse county in the nation. To learn more about our
