The National Heritage Museum is seeking a Curator of Collections. Responsible for acquisitions, collection research, and promoting the collection through publication and presentation, the Curator of Collections also contributes to department-wide projects including inventory, conservation, and long-range planning. He or she develops exhibitions highlighting the Museum's Masonic and fraternal collections.
This position requires an advanced degree in a related field and 5 years of museum experience with increasing responsibility. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of Masonic and fraternal material culture and history, American history, connoisseurship, and museum practices. The successful applicant thrives in a team environment and will be able to convey his or her enthusiasm about the collection through effective spoken and written communication.
