I'd start with the Museum for African Art, which is located in
Queens, NY [http://www.africanart.org/]. They've used video in
several exhibits. I'd also check with the National Museum of African
Art, one of the Smithsonian museums on the Mall in DC
[http://www.nmafa.si.edu/default.htm]. I saw some wonderful videos
of African dances as part of the African exhibit at the Brooklyn
Museum [http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/]. I don't know if any moving
images are available on their websites, but those are three of the
best collections I know, and they all have extremely knowledgeable
staff.
Good Luck.
