The Upstate History Alliance (Oneonta, NY) seeks an experienced
Director to provide leadership for constituent programs, with
particular responsibility for building and maintaining mutually
beneficial relationships between UHA, the NYSCA and other partners. The
director leads a small staff team to deliver a range of programs and
services to members and other audiences. Position is exempt, averaging
approximately 85-90 hrs/month. Salary commensurate with experience;
range $1650-$2000/month. A detailed position announcement and more

Qualifications desired:
Leadership experience in non-profit arena •Demonstrated skills in
management, budget development and sound fiscal operations • Written
and verbal communication skills and ability to work efficiently with
diverse groups of people •Demonstrated success in grant writing and
fundraising •Strong organizational and technological aptitude• Proven
ability to build relationships with individual members and
organizational partners • Proficiency at monitoring statewide and
regional historical activities and initiatives for membership
information and action • Contacts with a diverse range of professionals
and volunteers from historical societies, museums and public history
agencies • Bachelors degree in a related field required • Master’s
degree preferred.
