Museum Education Internship
Title: Museum Education Intern
Availability: Two positions open
Description: Develop age-appropriate educational programs for the
Historical Electronics Museum
Responsibilities: The educational programs will be both science and history
driven. This will include creating several thematic tours of the exhibits,
age-appropriate activities for school tours, pre and post tour school
activity sheets, at least one Day Camp on site, work with the volunteers to
develop age-appropriate outreach programs, basic clerical/office duties.
Requirements: Some college education, background or interest in secondary
education (social studies or physical science)/museum studies/museum
education. Must also have excellent written, oral and computer skills.
Enjoys working with a diverse audience. Some basic science knowledge
preferred.
Time: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9-4 p.m.
Wage: $1200 per month, for 3-4 months
