There are on-line lists of museum openings. The Museum Resource Board is one, there's also Artline and, of course, the AAM job listing.
It sounds like you are interested in a job as a museum educator. You might want to check with your local cultural and heritage societies or commissions. If you haven't actually done any museum work, it would be a good idea to take a summer internship - they rarely pay, but they are a good learning experiences; they introduce you to people who can help you; and they make a good line on a resume.
