Hi Richard,
Vibration from construction was a problem at the Museum of London 20 years
ago, and they may have been monitoring since. They have a good
conservation team, so I expext they would be knowledgeable.
There is also a consultation paper from the British government out at the
moment on the effects of different kinds of pile-driving on archaeology.
It may be limited to below-ground archaeology, but may have links to
research that may help. There should be a link from www.dcms.gov.uk via
"consultations" or "archaeology".
