Job Opening - Troy, NY

Executive Director.  The Rensselaer County Historical Society (RCHS),
founded in 1927, seeks an Executive Director with experience and vision to
lead an active community-based institution with exceptional historic
buildings, collections and programs.  Located in (historic) downtown Troy,
New York in the upper Hudson River Valley, RCHS is an AAM accredited
institution consisting of three contiguous buildings; an 1827 historic house
museum (Hart-Cluett House), carriage house and a newly renovated 1838 town
house containing exhibition galleries, research library and programming
space.  Individuals must have demonstrated skills and experience in
strategic planning, fund raising, team management, audience building,
community partnering and exhibit and program development.    Requirements:
at least 5 years museum administration experience; an advanced degree in a
related field.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Send cover letter,
