Hello all--I am interested in knowing about ways in which historic
house museums
are exploring other offerings for visitors and the general public that
go beyond
the typical house tour. If you are offering special programs, events or
tailored tours (such as behind-the-scenes), please let me know on or
off list. I am compiling a list of ways in which historic house museums
can reach their
public beyond the standard tour of the house in preparation for a session at a
spring meeting, and will send this compilation along to the listserve
when it's
completed.
I'd also like to hear about events and activities that take place on
the grounds
as well as inside the house, and how these might reach other audiences than
those typically drawn to visit historic house museums.
As always, thank you in advance for your responses--I look forward to hearing
from you on or off list.
All best,
