Hi Kelli,
Could it be a dough pin that leaves an imprint in the dough before
baking, kind of like stamping a hosti?
Could it be a rolling stamp to create a (repeating) print pattern on
fabric?
Two thoughts, two cents ...
Will you post the answer, if you find it?

Hello fellow listers. I need your help. We recently had a patron bring
in a wooden object, and we don't know what it is. So far, we've been
researching fraternal organizaiton seals, historic flags, etc. and
haven't
come up with anything. A description and pictures can be found at:
http://www.nebraskahistory.org/archeo/whatisit.htm. If you have any
suggestions or ideas, please email me at [log in to unmask]
Thanks in advance!
Kelli
