As it can be seen that there are many talented, dedicated Gen X-ers in our
profession. Rather than defending my generation, I'd just like to say to Ms.
Smedstad that her comment "In my experience of the last ten years, I have
come to the conclusion that this is what I call "Gen X arrogance" is a
generational thing" reflects very poorly on her, and subsequently her
organization. Sweeping generalizations regarding entire generations are both
inappropriate and short-sighted. I hope in the future she would think twice
about posting such biased comments in a public forum of her peers.
