On the Simpsons subject... (I have seen every eposide!!!) I love when Lisa
gets Homer to take her to the museum to see the Egyptian exhibit. Homer
wants to touch something but Lisa stops him with "OHH velvet ropes...." and
a line about never going past the velvet ropes. But Homer goes over them
and grabs the sphere of Isis and drops it. Which opens it and it was a
music box which no one knew about. Lisa forgives him from crossing the
ropes for the discovery.
My family now has an on going joke about crossing the 'velvet ropes'
everytime we visit museums...
I guess in Homers case the world was better off with him crossing the ropes
and opening the music box.
