I post this cautiously, knowing there are many strongly-held opinions about
the current situation in the Middle East. But from strictly a museum /
exhibits perspective, I found this photo essay on the Genocide Museum in
Suleimaniya, Iraqi Kurdistan, to be quite interesting.

Surely, the museum has an agenda, and the author has an agenda in showing it
to us. But, again, I am specifically NOT endorsing any political views --
which are not appropriate topics for this list, anyway. I simply thought
this was an interesting example of a community museum / contemporary history
museum with some very effective design touches.
