Could the A & M stand for Arts & Mechanics? Seems to me there was something
like that in KY towns. The "D" may be the locale...

Subject: D. A. & M. Fair of 1861
Has anyone heard of the D. A. & M. Fair of 1861? I believe it has
something
to do with early woodcraft and/or furniture makers, but I may be
mistaken.
Any ideas what it means?
Thanks!
