Two that I found great, provocative reads were
First Light by Carol O'Biso (1989) which is about her experience in
organizing the Te Maori exhibit
A Social History of Museums: What the visitors thought by Kenneth Hudson
(1979). Hudson is the Steve Weil of the British museum world.
Neither is currently in print, but both are available from Amazon (and
elsewhere)
And, of course, The Bowl is Already Broken.

Subject: Inspiring Books
Greetings!
My niece just received her masters in art history and as a graduation
gift I want to give her a few great books to inspire her as she
pursues work in the art museum world. I thought folks on the list
might have suggestions for "must read" books for an aspiring
curator. What books were important to you?
I appreciate your thoughts on this!
