The Regina Gouger Miller Gallery at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh is
looking for an intern to assist with the organization of two major
exhibitions slated for fall 2005. This position will work in conjunction
with the gallery director and exhibitions coordinator to prepare gallery
publications, create graphics and marketing materials, develop educational
resources, plan installation layouts, make traveling schedules, and
maintain frequent communication with artists, critics and curators. This
internship is unpaid, although a parking permit for the summer months will
be provided.
Ideal candidates will have broad knowledge of contemporary visual arts,
experience in a gallery or museum setting, and excellent communication
skills. Must be willing to help with a multitude of gallery tasks, as
assigned.
