Assistant Registrar
For a major New York City museum client we are seeking an Assistant
Registrar to work a long-term temp position with the possibility of
permanent placement. This highly involving position has direct
responsibility for managing and coordinating crating, packing, condition
reports, insurance, and transportation of foreign and domestic loans for
exhibition, and collection management projects as assigned. The ideal
candidate will work very closely with curators as exhibitions are developed
and installed and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. The position extends through November and may continue on until June
of 2006. A minimum of 3 years professional collection and exhibition
experience is required. A willingness to travel and a BA in art history,
museum studies, or related field are essential. Salary TBD. Please send
