Through a keynote address and breakout discussion groups, this program will focus on -
The scope of visitor voices in museum exhibitions and programming
Multiple approaches to involving visitor voices
Practical information on how educators act as irreplaceable agents in giving visitors a voice.
Kathleen McLean is an independent museum educator, formerly Director of the Center for Public Exhibition and Public Programs at the Exploratorium in San Francisco; guest editor of the Journal of Museum Education issue Visitor Voices (Spring, 2003).
