Collections Management Assistant
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the finest museums in the world, seeks a Collections Management Assistant for the Greek and Roman curatorial department. This person will be dedicated solely to the maintenance and upkeep of individual data records for all objects in the department's collection. This person will add new entries and edit existing data in our collections management system (TMS).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
· Organization of data in TMS
· Editing current entries
· Input all label text for objects on view
· Input all new label text for Phase IV opening
· Other related duties
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience & Skills:
· Experience with TMS preferred
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required
· Strong written communication skills required
· Ability to work as a team member required
Knowledge & Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Art History preferred
· Knowledge of Greek and Roman material required
