You might spend a little money on having an accountant look at how you set
Quickbooks up to see if its doing what you need -- for the size of your
budget, converting to something geared to nonprofits may be more than you
need. Keep in mind issues like the complexity of learning to use new
systems -- it's a real issue. A more 'robust' system may be worth it if you
have a big budget and lots of transactions, but may be biting off more than
you need otherwise. I'm happy to talk to you offline.

We are a relatively small ($100,000 budget on average) organization and
we're trying to decide what the best accounting software would be for us. We
currently use Quickbooks, and some of the board members feel we might be
able to find something more appropriate. I tend to think that the problem is
the *way* we are using QB, rather than the program itself. What else is out
there? Does anyone have a program that they feel strongly about one way or
the other? Anyone else use Quickbooks?
Thanks,
Erica
