Knowledgeable Friends,
Having been a faithful reader of the list digest for 3-4 years, I'm hoping some of you may have experience you can share on a current concern.
West Virginia is constructing a new, purpose-built facility to house and use the state's archaeological collections. The lab will have a conventional general exhaust, but for source capture of particulates and fumes (from acetone, parploid, HCl, etc.), a portable fume and dust collector is proposed, specifically AirFlow Systems, Inc.'s model MINI-PAC Bag Filtration Air Cleaner. It will have a series of filters and one or two E-Z Arms.
Any comments on performance (including noise level), operating costs, maintenance, and servicing (especially disposal of used/contaminated filters)?
Thanks.
