Am I alone in thinking that we don't receive a lot of legitimate museum mail 
,because of the blanket default settings of many SPAM filter systems?

I will give a practical example: I have just sent a message to a leading US 
Museum and in the body text were the words HOMO SAPIENS.

You've guessed it............their filter took exception to the first word 
and the mail did not get through.

Now I would have thought that this Museum, which has an anthropology and 
archaeology focus, would be more than a little concerned about this?

It raises the question, who is it at your place that determines your 
institution's spam filter terminology (lexicon)?

Based on my experience it might just pay to ask and determine just what key 
words are deflecting your mail
