Dear Listers-
Does anyone have a succession plan for their Director/President/CEO?
Meaning, in the case of a Director leaving for any reason, who will step up
as acting Director until one can be hired? Does anyone have any general
thoughts about who that interim person should be: board member, staff,
outsider? Is this a policy that a museum should have as a stand alone, or
as part of a larger document such as Personnel Policies?
This is just one of the discussions we are having while reveiwing our
policies and proceedures for the musuem, and was at a loss about what other
museums were doing. Any discussion and suggestions will be greatly welcomed.
