Loretta,
Have you considered displaying the basket flat on a plex mount with a mirror under it to give visitors a good view of the bottom? We have done this and it has worked really well. The viewer can see the detail of the bottom of the basket without putting any unnatural stress on the basket.

Hi,
We will be displaying some native american baskets. One is a tray. It
is rather large and we would like to stand it up. Does anyone have any
suggestions on how to support this basket. I want to protect the edge
from any stress.
