I'm not sure exactly what this type of item looks like, but, is their any
way supports in the forms of pegs, rails or similar materials could be
mounted at the bottom of the piece or between pieces to hold the weight from
underneath and only use something at the top to hold up the top of the
necklace?  If you have a photograph I would love to take a look and make
specific recommendations. You didn't say, Are you planning for them to on
onto mannequins or just a solid backdrop.

I'm sure others will have great suggestions also, but if you would like to
talk more offline I would be happy to assist any way I can
