Assistant/Associate Registrar (Full-time, permanent position)
The Maryland Historical Society seeks an experienced, detail-oriented,
associate/ assistant registrar to manage collections management issues
related to its acquisition and loan programs. Required skills: experience
processing new acquisitions; experience coordinating all aspects of
borrowing and lending objects, including condition reporting; participate
in exhibition teams; strong interpersonal, oral and written skills;
ability to set priorities and to meet firm deadlines; ability to lift
40lbs; a valid driver’s license.
Successful candidate must have a B.A. or M.A. in American history or
museum studies; a minimum of five to seven years museum registration
experience; and proficiency in collections management software systems,
especially KE EMu.
