Hi
I have discovered a large stone sculpture that has been over looked during its storage in the
archives of the Houston Pubic Library. The design of this 63-pound sculpture combines elements
of a salamander, beetle, and turtle into one stone effigy that is about 43 inches long and 18
inches in circumference.
I am trying to place this artifact in its proper cultural and historical context. The sculpture can be
seen here http://www.turkeytrack.net/cave/mound.htm
