Greetings,
Jillian has a good point:
>>>> Make connections for them....have a Boy Scout troop come
out and get interested, contact local historical societies, contact
genealogical organizations in the area, men's clubs, veteran's groups (if
there can be a connection made to one of the wars), have a realtor sponsor
an event at the house....and the list goes on. Hope this helps.
- Boy and Girl Scouts can earn badges related to local history.
- Have you spoken to local history teachers (middle and high-school not
just collegiate? Many teachers are dying to make a connection for some of
their students that they can grasp (literally in this case).
- You suggest the house goes back to the 1720's. Are there any local
churches that go back that far? There may be records to corroborate.
Good luck,
Christopher
