In Caring for Your Collections, they recommend a highly diluted solution of
Simple Green. It's non-toxic and will not leave a residue. It should kill
germs as well. The ratio of Simple Green to Water is 1:50. Test it in an
inconspicuous place, as some varnishes will discolor when exposed to water.
Best of luck.

Hello Everyone,
Do any of you know of a safe product that we can use to wash 100 year old
desks? They are used as part of our in house program. We are interested in
something that is safe for the wood, but will help to kill germs.
Any leads would be most appreciated!
