Most places with competitions print a catalogue or price sheet and have it
available either at the reception desk or even in a bin within the gallery
space. They don't put prices on the labels.
As an art center rather than a collecting museum, almost all of the artwork
we exhibit is available for sale. However, the kind of shows we do are
rarely commercially-oriented, and I refuse to schedule shows that have the
potential for big sales just because we need the money (which we do).
