The Maryhill Museum is in Goldendale, Washington, where US Highway 97 crosses
the Columbia River into Oregon at Biggs Jct. The Stonehenge replica is, I
believe, out of concrete, and is modest, at best. The Museum has done some
wonderful things in the past few years. It features both American, Romanian
and European art, and a fine Rodin collection. A book about Sam Hill who
built the mansion which became the museum, and Queen Marie of Romania has
been written I believe by John Tuhy of Portland. Ever hear the expression,
" What in the Sam Hill?" Read the book first if you don't live in the west.
