For access to online images and archival collections containing information
about the SF 1906 Earthquake and Fire, try searching the Online Archive of
California:
http://www.oac.cdlib.org/
There is also a multi-year, multi-insititution project currently winding
down at The Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley which will make some 8000 images
and 12000 pages of encoded text documents concerning the 1906 earthquake
available online both through an interactive website and the Online Archive
of California. Look for its release near the celebration of the centennial
of the quake.
