Hi Joshua;
We have a number of player rolls in our collection; we have them stored
in boxes made for just this purpose by QRS Music Technologies
(http://www.qrsmusic.com/mall/pmm_details.asp). The boxes look to be
just regular cardboard, so wrapping the rolls in acid free tissue that
you replace every few years will be a good idea.\
We mark the roll's accession number on the outside of the box, and on
the roll itself on the metal end-caps, using B-72 and drawing ink.
Cheers,

A player piano and dozens of player piano music rolls have just been
donated to the museum I work at. I was curious to see how other
institutions marked and stored their rolls.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Joshua K. Blay
