If you happen to be driving through Owens Valley in California, there’s an
excellent and moving Interpretive Center on the Manzanar internment camp
that was there. If by “warehouses” you mean barracks, I think you would
find quite interesting the exhibition’s use of internees’ memories, letters
and photographs to show how they made their Spartan accommodation into
something more livable. I thought there were blueprints or construction
plans displayed, but cannot be sure now. In any case, much of the material
came from the Japanese American National Museum, so the others are right in
suggesting you contact them.
