The California Science Center museum includes the AMGEN Center for
Science Learning library. The library is in the developmental stages,
but once fully operational would fit your criteria.

The Morgan Library, perhaps? They have a "campus" where the Library
began and adjacent buildings to hold exhibition halls and study centers.
The library has existed on its own and the exhibition areas could exist
separately.
Also, the Getty could fall under your criteria.

Subject: Public libraries and museums together
I am attempting to identify combinations of public libraries and
museums
in order to investigate their governance.
Libraries with a small gallery don't qualify, nor do museums with
some
library function such as some public access to an art or history
collection,
or an archive. I'm looking for two institutions under one organizational
roof -- separate physical roofs are okay. Each of the two should each
be of
adequate size and staffing so that they might have the potential to
exist
separately. Any suggestions?
Thanks
