The Sandwich Historical Society (SHS), located in the Lakes Region
of central New Hampshire, seeks a director with energy and vision to
manage the Society's holdings of four historic properties and its
vast collection. SHS has an annual operating budget of $100,000 and
an active membership of 400. The Director will be responsible for
the day to day operations, work with Board members to implement
strategic plan, and work within standard museum practices.
Candidates are required to have a B.A., graduate degree preferred;
at least three years experience in museum management, demonstrated
interest in community involvement, and knowledge of fundraising
activities with the ability to oversee museum, collection, and
membership. Position allows flexible hours with salary based on
