Kim,
Check out University Products (online as well as print catalog), they have
those felt bags your volunteer mentioned.

Subject: silver tea service
Hi all,
I am looking for the best way to store a silver tea
service that IS NOT part of the collection. It was
donated to us to use for teas that we have at the
museum.
The owner suggested a treated felt material. Is this
the best way to store it? If so, where can I find
this kind of fabric?
Also, what is the best way to clean it?
Thank you!
Kim Kenney
