For a project at the Walter Elwood Museum in Amsterdam, NY, we are
looking to identify similar museums. Walter Elwood was a teacher, who
established a museum in a school. He was an eclectic collector,
interested in natural history, local history, and world cultures,
and the museum's collection reflects those broad interests. We are
seeking museums who have similar types of collections and have found
innovative ways to interpret and present those collections to the
public. We're also interested in learning about anthropologists,
historians or other scholars who may have examined these types of
museums and their meanings.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
