DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Salary Range: $30,000-35,000 plus benefits.
The Phoenix Museum of History seeks a Director of Education who will be
responsible for creating, coordinating, and implementing the museum’s
education program including school tours, adult tours, outreach
presentations, scout workshops, and other adult and family programming. The
Director of Education will also train and coordinate the museum’s
volunteers.
The Phoenix Museum of History is a not-for-profit corporation organized to
collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit materials incident to the
development of Phoenix and the Salt River Valley. The Museum is dedicated to
enhancing the knowledge of the history, learning, and lore of the many
cultures that have shaped Phoenix and its environs.
We are seeking candidates with outstanding communication skills who would
enjoy working in a team environment. An undergraduate degree in history,
education, or related field plus experience in the area of museum education
is required. A graduate degree is preferred. Candidates must also have a
valid Arizona driver’s license.
