Working also with volunteers, the stuck lids and excessive evaporation
from poorly seated lids (due to build up of goop) are a continual
problem! I'll join the plea to UP.
I'm going to try all the methods mentioned in hopes that they are
quicker and easier than what I do, but if all else fails, this does
work: turn the little bottle upside down in a small shallow flat dish
containing enough acetone to barely rise above the upside down lid.
Sometimes it takes as much as a couple of hours, but eventually the lid
will loosen up.
