EUROPEAN SCULPTURE AND DECORATIVE ARTS
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an Administrative Assistant 1 for the Department of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts. The Administrative Assistant provides a range of administrative support to curators and other staff members in the department. The duties of the Administrative Assistant include greeting departmental visitors; answering telephone calls; preparing various museum forms; handling curator correspondence; and maintaining office machines. The ideal candidate must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PhotoShop); and excellent communication skills. Four years of college education required. Experience with TMS/databases and digital photography, knowledge of the decorative arts, and foreign language skills are preferred.
