private practice since 1979. A longtime member of AIC (American Institute
of Conservation), she has been a Professional Associate since 1995. Her
studio, Jessica Hack Textile Restoration, is located in New Orleans, where
she also works in association with Gentle Arts. A wide variety of textiles,
including tapestry, oriental carpets, quilts, samplers, historic costume,
and Asian textiles are brought for treatment from both private clients and
museums around the country. Ms. Hack and her associates are recognized
nationally for their work on Civil War flags and uniforms.
