You got confirmation from the e-mail address? Not north.pole.org, I
suspect.
One slight problem with this otherwise wonderful idea, you see -- it's not
e-mail they want. It's your logging on to their web page!
I accessed http://north.pole.org/ via my Mosaic and saw the following
message:
Please Don't Spam Santa
There is a rumor going around that we're trying to get as
many messages as possible sent to [log in to unmask] Not
true ... Santa has all the mail he can handle and asks that
you refrain from spamming him or there might be a few
last-minute transfers to the "naughty" list.
And I also accessed http://www.sun.com/events/santa/index.html:
Each time you visit the North Pole Sun makes a donation to
the Second Harvest Food Bank, an organization that's been
feeding the Bay Area's homeless since 1974.
In other words, do NOT send mail to north.pole.org. Use your web browser.
If you have none, then, alas, you will have to donate by more direct means.
I do not know about the other e-mail addresses, however.
