Folks, I just accidentally sent a lengthy but unfinished message in this
thread--lengthy because it was unedited.  Although I had a paragraph to add, I
intended to shorten the thing overall.  It was unsigned because it was
unfinished.  I'm not going to OK it when it comes back to me for approval, but I have a
feeling it will get distributed anyway.  So if it does, I offer my apologies,
because I fully expected to both improve and cut it.  I'll take only partial
responsibility for it since it was unsigned!  If it goes through without my OK,
I'll probably be hearing from Jay...

If it doesn't go through, I'll probably revise it (revisionism, anyone?) and
try again when I'm more wide awake.
