I am passing along the following query regarding possible classroom material on
ethnic museums. Please reply directly to Professor Orenic who is not a
subscriber to the list. Thank you.

I am currently teaching on immigration and ethnic history. Students are
required to visit one local (Chicago) ethnic museum and write an essay
about their visit, putting the museum in the context of our discussions
and readings. Can anyone recommend an article or book that addresses
the role of the ethnic museums in ethnic communities or American society
more broadly? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
