Holly,
The most important thing is that the information critical to the
application/job be on the first page. As Nick pointed out, a CV will often
be many pages long and include a wide variety of things. You are definitely
right, the art world likes long resumes/CVs. I get the impression you are
more important the longer your resume. I have a couple 15 page artist
resumes right in front of me.
I think it will depend on the field you are in, and the job to which you
are applying. Most have standards, and all vary widely.

After a lengthy absence from this list-serve I am back and wanted to get
people's opinions on resume length.
I had always heard that you should keep your resume to one page, but more
often than not in the art world, I see multiple page resumes.
I assume experience does affect length, but I would like your opinion on
this.
