Well, after 24 hours of trying, I finally eradicated
the spyware that invaded my computer through the
2020Search that wiped out my employment page. Ton's
suggestion was a great one, but it didn't work for me
this time (I am grateful for his help).
I found a couple of programs that would remove it.
One actually told you how to manually remove it but,
for $39.95 would do it for you. I found another for
$19.95 that did it and found things the other program
did not. I think my computer has just undergone a
high colonic, LOL.
The program I finally purchased is at
http://www.scanspyware.net
Even though I knew I didn't have a virus, I still felt
like my computer was tantamount to being HIV+, and I
wanted to practice safe computing.
Thanks to Liz and Ton for their suggestions. It's
awful to have to do so much to stay a safe
contributing member, but better safe than sorry.
